VHA SAOW NCO22G intends to post a solicitation with a coordinating site visit on or about 5/28/2021. The solicitation will be open for not less than fourteen (14) days for the following requirement: The Phoenix Arizona VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) located at 650 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix Az 85012 requires the following services: Design and installation services to analyze the existing conditions and develop documents for the installation of a permanent emergency/auxiliary boiler connection on the exterior of the boiler plant building for an emergency/auxiliary boiler to supply 350 hp steam capacity with a working pressure of 120 psi. Location of emergency/auxiliary connection must allow for rapid installation of trailer mounted boiler with minimal disruption to the facility. The installation must accommodate dual fuel (Natural Gas and Fuel oil) emergency/auxiliary power and accommodate the existing ancillary equipment in the plant. The design plan will include a full set of documents (drawings and specifications) and supporting calculations. The contractor is expected to provide licensed engineer stamped design documents at the 30%, 60%, and 90% completion phases, and final design for VA approval. The final design must be fully compliant with all VHA design standards, specifications and directives and stamped by a licensed professional engineer. Installation labor, materials, testing and equipment, necessary to provide a permanent emergency/auxiliary boiler connection point on the outside of the building for the connection of a temporary emergency/auxiliary boiler following the stamped design documents. Installation services shall include scheduling, coordination, and testing services as well as product, material and all other submittals and requirements defined in construction drawings and specifications. Installation shall follow all applicable VA specifications, design manuals, directives and referenced requirements.
