The two Main Pumps that feed the domestic Water Supply failed and were inoperable. The Engineering Section put together an Emergency repair package through Contracting in Long Beach, IAW was given authorization to proceed with the repairs, mobilized a crew and the pumps were back online the next day. These pumps were made back in the 1970’s and they were able to temporarily repair these pumps, even though replacement parts are not available. This lends itself to an emergency in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, IAW Construction was contacted to provide repairs to the water pumps due to the imminent need to mitigate this situation
