Contracting intends to solicit services for the following under 36C25820Q0182 for Kitchen Hood cleaning at the: New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) 501 San Pedro Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 There is an immediate need to provide cleaning and maintenance to main kitchen exhaust hoods located in the Main Hospital and the Canteen. The Contractor will clean all exhaust systems according to the standards set forth by the International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) and maintain service cycles in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 96) recommendations. The Contractor will manually scrape, degrease and/or pressure wash all portions of all kitchen exhaust systems located at this facility. Locations are: Main Hospital Kitchen (Bldg. 41) Canteen Kitchen (Bldg. 2) Canteen Bistro (Bldg. 2) Canteen Snack Station (Bldg. 2) Kitchen exhaust cleaning services will include the interior and exterior of all grease hood canopies, fire protection system pipes, links and nozzles, hood plenums, duct collars, water wash troughs, including hood-to-floor drains, plus all horizontal and vertical ductwork leading to, and including, all kitchen exhaust fans and stacks. The 16 filters in Building 2 will be exchanged quarterly during the cleaning service. As part of the regular service, the Contractor will provide before-and-after digital photos of all exhaust cleaning work performed upon request.
