This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a Plumbing Project # 549-25-524 Heat Exchanger Replacement. The Contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, materials, equipment, and supervision required to replace 3 existing domestic water heat exchanger systems, steam traps and provide new condensate return system controls, piping, plumbing, electrical and controls in building 2J at the VA Dallas Medical Center located at 4500 S Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX, 75216. These new systems shall meet or exceed the specification of the units being replaced. A site visit is recommended to confirm all measurements and existing conditions. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning with a standard size of $19M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA shall issue a RFP on or about September 01, 2025, via Contract Opportunities. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, the date, time, and location will be posted in the solicitation.
