This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 5441 Babcock Road STE. 302 San Antonio TX 78240 for the procurement of the Altrix Precision Temperature Management System. Background and Requirement: San Antonio VA Medical Health Care System. The Altrix Precision Temperature Management Systems including all the required components, accessories, and supplies are listed within the Salient Characteristics. This equipment for proposed is the Altrix Precision Temperature Management System. The vendor shall provide on-site setup at the service location indicated by the assigned service POC. This equipment must be able to perform the following functions. The Altrix Precision Temperature Management System must be 120VAC, 60Hz 12A, regulating human body temperature in situations where a physician or clinician with prescription privileges determines that temperature therapy is necessary or desirable and provide an empty weight: 150lbs, Depth: 23 in, Width: 15 in, height 42.5 in and removable water reservoir capacity at minimum 1.3 gal. SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: Altrix Precision Temperature Management System must the following. Maintain pre-set body temperature as determined by the physician. Maintain normal body temperature during surgical procedures. For use in all clinical settings including coronary care units, operating, recovery and emergency departments, burn units, and medical/surgical units. Monitoring and controlling patient temperature. Temperature reduction in patients where clinically indicated, for example, in hyperthermic patients.
