Enhanced safety using plastic tubes with screw caps and no sharp needed for inoculation or further work-up of positive tubes. FDA-approved non-waived test platform, capable of producing accurate and reproducible results on growth detection of mycobacteria in liquid cultures of patient samples, surveys, quality control, of specimens by established methods, as appropriate. The compatible reagents shall provide accurate test assay results as per the manufacturer s defined limitations. Tubes that have a positive signal with the instrument should be able to provide confirmation of mycobacteria by means of an acid-fast smear as appropriate to FDA approved non-waived test. Vendor will provide any applicable training kits/validation reagents for setup of the new instrumentation. Contractor shall provide SDS and waste stream information for all instrumentation. The NCO 17, Veteran Health Administration intends to acquire commercial services using FAR Part 12.  This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.  Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing no later than 24 May 24 at 10:00 AM (CST)Central Standard Time.
