This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The Thomas E Creek Amarillo VA Healthcare System is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of response to this Special Notice. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Thomas E Creek Amarillo VA Healthcare System to solicit for or award a competitive contract. Unless otherwise stated herein, no solicitation regarding this announcement is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. The Thomas E Creek Amarillo VA Healthcare System is seeking a Service & Maintenance Agreement contract, base plus four option years, for the ScriptPro Automated Pill Packaging System located in Amarillo VA Medical Center at 6010 Amarillo Blvd W., Amarillo, TX 79106 and Lubbock Outpatient Clinic at 3510 4th Street Lubbock, Texas 79415. DELIVERABLES: Support shall include: Annual support of drug database updates and ongoing interface maintenance, including patches to address necessary software fixes and updates needed to maintain operability and usability. All service work performed needs to be done by a ScriptPro trained service engineer due to proprietary software and passwords. Provide annual preventive maintenance to include onsite and field service repair, replace parts, and technical support staff to maintain complete functionality of the automated pill packaging system within the VA infrastructure. The vendor will have to check in with BioMed before preforming service onsite. The vendor is responsible for providing documentation on any service preformed. The vendor will be required to comply with all safety, infection control, and hospital policies. Provide help desk support to include technical and customer service telephone support. Support shall be made available Monday through Saturday, hours to be determined. Access to technical support staff with elevated VA privileges/security clearance that have in-depth application knowledge and expertise required to assist VA staff with troubleshooting efforts, when requested to ensure maximum application and software performance within the VA infrastructure. Application version upgrades (e.g.: new features with enhanced functionality, upgrade installation assistance, and user documentation updates), including application version upgrades required to maintain VA, information security or privacy needs. VA VPN network access required. Anticipated BASE period of twelve months, with four option periods. NOTE: The NAICS code is 811210, Electronic Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, Size Standard in millions of dollars - $34. Response must show clear and convincing evidence that your company has the capabilities and qualification to provide this service to be considered as a source. SDVOSB and VOSB shall also show evidence that they will perform 51% of the work. All parties are asked to identify any subcontracts that shall also be utilized. Offeror s type of business.
