THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is posting this notice because it is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued to provide Phlebotomy Services. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for quote/proposal. DESCRIPTION: The Central Texas Veterans Health Care Services (CTVHCS) Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service in Austin, Texas has a need for temporary staffing of three (3) FTE phlebotomists. a) Contractor shall provide three (3) phlebotomists to perform a variety of phlebotomy tasks. The contractor shall perform clinical laboratory testing in the General Clinical Laboratory in accordance with VA policies and procedures and the regulations of the medical staff bylaws of CTVHCS. a) Phlebotomy services are required for coverage within the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System (CTVHCS) Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services (PLMS) at the Austin Outpatient Clinic (AOPC) in Austin, Texas. b) Phlebotomy services shall be provided 40 hours per week, shifts to be covered may be any of the following but not limited to: c) 6:30am - 3:00pm; 7:00am - 3:30pm, 8:00am - 4:00pm or any other shift not listed that is designated based on the needs of the service that is subject to change. These can also include various shifts of 8,10, or 12 hour shifts. All shifts include two, 15-minute breaks. d) Days worked may vary based on need, not to exceed 5 days per week. A normal work week is Monday-Friday. Weekends and holidays may be required. Occasional overtime hours or holiday hours may be required due to short staffing or increased workload.
