For Bldg 10, for the additional wire to be pulled, where are the previous pole and succeeding pole from the one that needs to be reset? Ans: In the parking directly across to the other island. 2. During the site visit, it was mentioned that the fuse blocks will not be needed. Can you confirm that they will or will not be needed for this project? Ans: No, fuse blocks are needed for this project. 3. It would be beneficial to have in-line fuses installed on each pole. Does the VA want inline fuses for each pole? Ans: No, in-line fuses are needed. 4. Where are photo-eyes to be installed (at the beginning of each circuit, on each light pole, or on each fixture)? Ans: I will only one photo-eye for each new pole installed at the beginning of each new the circuit. 5. Please confirm the number of light poles to be removed and reset at Bldg 94. Ans: 1 with 480 V. 6. Please confirm the number of light poles to be removed and reset at Bldg 10. Ans: 1 with 277 V 7. Are the existing light poles at Bldgs 10 and 94 to be reused or is a new light pole altogether to be installed? Ans: Light Poles for Buildings 10/94 will be reused. 8. For the light poles at Bldgs 94 and 10, please confirm what existing wire is to be removed and what new wire is to be installed. Ans: 94 2 wires from 2 different due to being daisy chained. 10-1 wire directly across from the island. 9. What is the voltage for each light to be installed. Existing Light Poles: 94 480V 10 277V New Light Poles 90/91 208V (power coming from Generator Room) 91/92 208V (power coming from inside of Building 92) 92/93 208V (power coming from Generator Room) 10. Please provide concrete dimensions for all new concrete pedestals. Existing Light poles Building 10 and 94. 8ft below grade and 1 ft above grade. New poles refer to manufactures specification base for these poles. 11. Are photo-eyes or timers to be installed on all light poles for this project? Ans: Photo eyes 12. Can the VA provide utility plans in this RFI where fiber optic may be encountered? Ans: Currently this is unknown due to changes over the years. 13. Could this project be sole sourced? Ans: No 14. Could another Site Visit be considered due to the turn-around time being short, even if scheduled one on one? Ans: No, due to time constraints 15. Are all lights being replaced even if they are in working order? No, lights are being replaced. 16. When is the anticipated start date? Ans: ASAP when the contractor receives the NTP 17. Is there a current incumbent? Ans: No 18. How many fixtures are not in working order? Ans: All fixtures are currently working. 19. How many new fixtures will need to be installed? Ans: Refer to SOW which is stated how many fixtures need per new light pole, ( all lights need to be 400 Watts each) 20. Are there any major electrical issues that need to be addressed currently? Ans: None 21. Do you have any photos or specific details for the lights that are currently on-site? Do you have an photos of the light poles or parking lots? How many additional light poles are being requested? Ans: Photo will be submitted. You can add up 4 lights to each side of the pole. 22. Requesting information regarding the drawing that shows exactly where the new poles will be located, in order to compose an accurate quote to the satisfaction of the government. Ans: Location was site seen at site visit. Government is not responsible for any misconceptions if the site was not visited. 23. Can you provide any prints or aerial photos showing locations? Do you have any specs for the poles? Ans: We don t know any drawings for aerial views for the locations. No specs, match existing light that was provided for the new poles. 24. Can you provide the name of the pole manufacturer? Ans: I don t have one, must see picture to match existing light pole and field verify from site. 25. Is there a site plan, drawings, or specifications that can be provided? Ans: I have site plane of the 2 existing light poles which I can give to the awardee, 3 new light are not on the drawings. 26. Where will the new lights be feed? Ans: 90-91 generator room, 91-92- Bldg 92 electrical closet, 92-93 generator room. 27. Is there an existing power source for the repaired lights? Ans: Yes, The lights are daisy chained. 28. For new light installs, once it gets to a building for power, what is the distance to the nearest panel to be used? Ans: Contractor will need field verify distance does not assume any responsible on field measurements, it is the responsibility of the contractor to field verify per statement in SOW. 29. What will control the lights operation? (i.e. photocell, timeclock, combination of both, or building management) Ans: New lights new photo eye, 1 per pole. 30. What is the quantity of each demo and install? Ans: You will need to demo 2 existing light base poles and reinstall them. 31. Is there a requirement for Photometrics and what lighting standard must be adhered? Ans: No, requirement for photo eyes but the photo eyes must be fitted for 400 Watt LED Lights. New Light poles must match this existing light pole which is 30 ft. You can add lights to it as well. Lead times are low.
