CTX Fungal Remediation 36C25723B0034 The VA Central Texas Healthcare System has a requirement for construction services for mold remediation services for the VA Olin E. Teague Veterans Center at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Bldg. 163, Temple TX 76504. The Contractor shall be responsible for the Mold Remediation observed in the west interstitial wall cavity adjacent Rooms BB129A (Men's Shower) and BB128 (Kinesiotherapy) in the Basement Corridor CB12 of Building 163. The fungal growth appears to be from moisture vapor intrusion from Room BB129A, Men's Shower and Room BB129, Therapeutic Pool. The fungal growth must be remediated by a TDLR-licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) in accordance with a Fungal Remediation Protocol prepared by a TDLR-licensed Mold Assessment Consultant (MAC). Prior to the remediation activities that could disturb or damage building materials that are suspect as asbestos containing, the building material must be protected and undisturbed during the cleaning and decontamination of exposed interstitial wall cavities or removal of residual gypsum board walls. In general, this protocol addresses removal of gypsum board walls at the west wall of Corridor CB12 and cleaning and decontamination of exposed gypsum board and wall system components. The fungal remediation will be conducted in a negative pressure enclosure with high efficiency particulate air (HEPA)-filtered exhaust and two-stage dry decontamination egress. The contained work area will be subject to the visual and analytical clearance criteria presented in this protocol. The remediation activities will be conducted in accordance with regulations from the TDLR contained in the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Title 16, Part 78, Mold Assessors and Remediators Administrative Rules, (TAC 16, MARAR §78.1-78.150). Offerors are urged and expected to attend the scheduled site visit, where the work will be performed to become acquainted with existing site conditions and requirements for this project. The NAICS code for this procurement is 562910 with a small business size standard of $25 M. Magnitude of Construction Project: Less than $25,000.00.
