THIS IS A PRESOLICIATION NOTICE AN INVITATION FOR BID WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 1, 2022. Project 671-22-196 Replace Keying System at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center San Antonio, Texas 36C25723B0001 The Audie L. Murphy (ALM) Veteran Medical Center, located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, Texas 78229 intends to upgrade facility-wide keying system utilizing an electronic keying system. To increase safety, enhance security and maximize accountability of the ALM Veteran Medical Center while reducing the possibility of interference or unwarranted access, a new rekey system will be required. The ALM Veteran Medical Center is approximately 1.4 million square feet with Main Hospital, Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center (PRC), Community Living Center (CLC), Spinal Cord Injury Center (SCIC), and Logistical Warehouse. There are 5500 (approximately +/-) mechanical and electronic (magnetic) locking systems being used, and 5000 keyholders (approximately +/-) across the entire Medical Center to secure interior rooms from unwanted access. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $39.5 M. The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This project will be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, as stated below. The POC for this project will be Michael Walls. Important Notice: Apparent successful offerors must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprises prior to submission of offer. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetBiz prior to submission of offer will result in the offeror s proposal being deemed non-responsive. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
