It allows the ability to manage, update, review and troubleshoot quality control results, operator and device issues remotely. Currently we have RALS PLUS for our glucometers, i-Stats, Avoximeter, Hemochrons, Genexpert Xpress, and would like to keep the RALS-interface in place so we can monitor all devices from one DI. SCOPE OF WORK The Remote Automated Laboratory Systems (RALS) Software Technology System (STS) License Agreement is part of the point of care testing connectivity software that is used to post patient test results to the electronic patient record (VISTA/CPRS). This software allows the end user to monitor tests done at the point of care and to meet numerous accreditation requirements for laboratory tests performed at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), located at 7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio, Texas 78229. LOCATION This module is specific for instrumentation used for bed side critical care testing, the i-Stats I used to perform testing in all critical care units Cardiac Catherization Laboratory. PERIOD AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE The software license agreement ensures a continuity of services for this medical center utilizing the same server which is part of this contract. The term of this license agreement shall commence as of the license effective date and shall remain in effect as long as the STS is licensed hereunder. The term of each license granted hereunder shall remain in effect for duration of the purchase order. The Technology License includes service, support, updates and hardware maintenance. The supply of RALS-Freedom for the use by Customer is governed by the terms and conditions of the RALS Software Technology System License Agreement. DELIVERABLES/SUPPLIES The contractor Alere Informatics Inc. shall provide the RALS-Freedom Avoximeter devices module and interfacing and download sites to include: 1. Software Components: RALS-interface for the Avoximeter RALS-LIS HL7 Interface (LIS is VistA). RALS Remote Connect (RRC), if applicable Other third party software, depending on system specifications. 2. Other Components: RALS User Documentation will be provided in the current medium. Standard Training, instruction and consultation for the Customer required for the use of the RALS STS. 3. Hardware Components Provided by Alere Informatics Inc. RALS Dataports if applicable Information Management System 4. Standard training, instruction, and consultation for the customer required for the use of the RALS STS. CONFORMANCE STANDARDS: The contractor s performance must be in compliance with all applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations. HOURS OF WORK: The Warranty is in effect for the entire duration of the contract. The contractor provides 24 hour, 7 days a week Technical Support by calling 1-877-627-7257. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE: 1. The Contractor shall provide free upgrades at no cost to the medical center 2. The Contractor provides documentation of services performed. EMERGENCY REPAIR SERVICE: 24 hour, 7 days a week Technical Support by calling 1-877-627-7257. PARTS The contractor shall furnish all parts as described in the Scope of Work section as covered by this contract, in accordance with the Conformance Standards Section (section II). The COR and the Contractor will assure that: No other information except what is in this contract will be shared with the contractor in any follow up communication. NO VA DATA OF ANY TYPE SHALL BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE VA. The vendor will not have remote access to complete the repair(s) and preventive maintenance. ALL DATA AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA WILL NOT LEAVE THE VA. All hardrives will not leave the VA. Records Management: All records (administrative and program specific) created during the period of the contract belong to STVHCS and must be returned to STVHCS at the end of the contract.
