Page 2 STATEMENT OF WORK INTRODUCTION The purpose of this procurement documentation is to obtain Overbed and Bedside Patient Tables for the Veterans Affairs (VA) North Texas for all In-Patient Units in Buildings 2, 2J, 60, and 74, located at 4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216. There are no Patient Overbed or Bedside Tables in the VA Warehouse Inventory. Procurement will be for both Overbed and Bedside Tables, to be used in the In-Patient Rooms. Lockable Casters on Back Legs Laminate: #2571 Almond Cherry Bow Pull Standard No Lock DAYS REQUIRED FOR DELIVERY Delivery of product required by no later than September 30, 2020. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY COMPONENTS: The successful offer awarded this project shall provide all components, hardware, and parts necessary for proper assembly and operation, even though certain items may not be specifically described in the specifications. This includes all fittings, necessary tools, casters, etc. Contractors shall include the cost of such components, hardware, and parts in the quotation price. NEW AND UNUSED: All goods shall be new, unused, produced from current production components, and shall be delivered ready for use. No components may be used that are not contained in the manufacturer s current parts catalog for the goods as described in the attached product description list. STANDARD COMPONENTS: Unless superseded by parts description specifications, goods shall include all components and accessories listed by manufacturer as standard and included in the contractor s GSA Schedule contract. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY: All products are factory -assembled and shipped in a single shipment, in cartons. All shipping charges shall be paid by the Vendor. Responsibility and Liability for loss or damage shall remain with the Vendor until final inspection and acceptance by the VA. Product is to be delivered to facility s warehouse in manufacturer s original packaging. Product to be handled and stored to prevent damages to materials, finishes and operating mechanisms. Product shall be stored in clean, dry area to prevent sagging and twisting of packaging. Product may be Shipped in 2 Phases, Coordinated with VA Interior Designer: Nikki Feilner. INSTALLATION: Installation will be provided by the VA s Contractor for Moving and Installation of Furnishings. The VA s Moving Contractor will receive and inspect Product and is to Inform Int. ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS: All products should comply with current federal and agency sustainability requirements. In accordance with Executive Orders 13101 and 13123, preference will be given to products with beneficial environmental characteristics. This may include recycled content, limits on volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions, energy efficiency, recyclable, and bio-based materials. Silverion Technology on wood products is preferred, Successful Offeror shall add to our environmental measures. Quotes shall include information on the environmental characteristics of offered products, including Certifications. G. PERFORMANCE OF WORK ON GOVERNMENT PREMISES: Current rules and regulations are applicable to the premises where work will be performed and shall apply to the contractor and its employees while working on the premises. These regulations include, but are not limited to the following: presenting valid identification for entrance, smoking restriction, and any safety procedures as outlined in the site regulations.
