Combined Questions for solicitation 36C25719Q0291 Radio Tower Inspection How old is the tower, and do you have information on the manufacturer and model number? The Tower is about 20 years old, I do not know who was the builder of the tower or any model number. Has there been any previous inspections on this tower, and if so, can the most recent report be made available? I believe so the tower was built about 1999 by the VA, I do not have any copies of any prior inspections. I see a reference to a Part Number 20009. Is it possible to get the manufacturer and description of this part, as well as quantities required? This is the Part number of the Lights on the Tower the Model # is L550-865 and the 20009 is the part number. This information is easy to find on Google. I ve attached a screen shot of what I found on the VA property from street view. Is this the tower that is to be inspected? If this is the picture then yes Is there an incumbent contractor currently performing these services, if similar services have been performed in the past, or if this is a new requirement? If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the contract or task order number? There is no incumbent to this requirement since it is once every 5 years. Until now all minor repair has been done By Randels Towertech. Please provide exact position/location/address of tower for further research by us 1901 S. 1st street, Temple TX 76504 approx. 31.078273, -97.342344 Will the government provide drawings and tech data on the tower? We are looking for these but I cannot say we do at this time. Please discuss license (presumably TX) and VA safety requirement in more detail. We are NATE members, familiar with USACE EM385 procedures and OSHA 1910 and 1926 certified. All required License s is in reference to those required to perform maintenance on Such Towers to include certifications for climbing the tower is a must. WE do not follow the State since this is a Federal Government installation. Vendors must follow all OSHA requirement s the VA only has small variations to this and they have to do more with working on the installation than the Tower itself. What type of teaming will be allowed on the project, if any? We have several vehicles in place and can finalize whatever agreement the Government prefers (MP, JV, super sub, etc.). There is no limitation at this estimated dollar value for partnering (ref. 13 CFR §125.6)
