The VA VHA Network Contracting Office 16 issued a Sources Sought/RFI for market research on contractor interest, capabilities, qualifications, nonmanufacturer rule/Buy American Act/Trade Agreement compliance, and estimated industry pricing for preventive and full remedial maintenance of government-owned Omnicell pharmaceutical dispensing systems. The VA intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Omnicell, Inc. for one base year plus two one-year options under FAR Parts 12 and 13 and FAR 6.302-1. The required maintenance services are for the Overton Brooks Veterans Healthcare System in Shreveport, Louisiana, and include all labor, tools, materials, equipment, software, facilities, transportation, and supervision needed to meet OEM requirements. Market research and prior acquisition history indicate Omnicell is the only vendor capable of providing all required preventive maintenance and repair services.
