Condensate Line Liner Installation Alexandria VAHCS Background: Alexandria VAHCS has a requirement that involves installing a liner into an existing steam condensate pipe. The integrity of the pipe has corroded, providing numerous condensate leaks leading to an increase in make up water needed at the boiler plant. Objective: Award a firm-fixed price contract to a contractor capable of performing installation of liner in existing 2-1/2 condensate line safely, efficiently, and in the manner addressed by the scope of work Scope of Work: Locate middle of expansion loop by means of digging, chip concrete to expose condensate line Remove 2 ½ from expansion loop, provide certified welder to weld flanges on pipe in ground and new 2 ½ SCH 80 steel expansion loop Provide 2 glass liners to shoot, both will be shot from opposite ends of pipe toward middle to meet in center Provide ¼ steel plate to place on concrete tunnel for future access Backfill to existing grade Glass liner to be rated to withstand temperatures up to 350 degrees Provide warranty of no less than 10 years for liner Provide warranty of no less than 2 years on work performed
