The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, has a requirement for Kitchen Maintenance services for the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care Systems Biloxi , 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi MS 39531. NCO 16 is seeking services as per the statement of work within the solicitation. No proposals or quotes are being requested or accepted with this notice. KITCHEN EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE VA GULF COAST VETERANS HEALTH CARE SYSTEM BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI 39531 SCOPE OF WORK Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform all work associated with the complete maintenance of the specified Kitchen Equipment located in Building 31 at the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, Mississippi. The equipment maintenance work shall include but not be limited to inspections (In accordance with manufacturer s recommendations), cleanings, servicing, lubrication, repairs, mechanical adjustments, general maintenance, and testing. All deficiencies found during the monthly inspections, will be reported to the COR and repair parts will be ordered. When specified parts are received, contractor will be notified so that they can schedule and repair the deficiency. Consumable products used to service the equipment, as well as any parts required to repair any deficiency, will be supplied by the Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System. Upon completion of the monthly preventative maintenance inspection, a written report of the inspection will be sent to the COR and the GM Shop supervisor within 24 hours. Any deficiencies found that require immediate repairs and render the kitchen equipment unusable/unsafe, will be reported to the GM Shop and COR immediately upon discovery. The identified equipment will be marked accordingly and taken out of service until repairs can be made. The kitchen equipment requiring inspection/maintenance are listed as follows: Alto Shaam combination oven-steamer, (3) Each Serial Number 3227582-1, 3227595-1, & 3227595-2 Model # CTP20-20E Examine. If a component is damaged, missing, or not set, to prevent injury bring the matter to the attention of the GM Shop or the COR. Descale steam generator (3 each) monthly. Remove scale build up from these components to prevent damage and unsatisfactory performance. Use manufacturers (Alto Shaam, Inc.) suggested products and procedures for descaling these components. Wear the proper protective clothing when descaling the components. Descale every 30 days. Cleveland Steamer (1) Each Serial Number 210923052088, Model # 24CEA10 Examine. If a component of the Cleveland Steamer is damaged, missing, or not set, to prevent injury bring the matter to the attention of the VA. Descale the steam generator once every 30 days. Use the manufacturer s (Cleveland Holdings, Inc.) recommended descaling solution and perform the descaling in accordance with the operator s manual and manufacturer s guidelines. Descale every 30 days Pot Machine (Pot Washer) Champion Industries Inc. Serial Number 14/11428, Model #LD-20-PT-ELEL Examine. If a component is damaged, missing, or not set, to prevent injury bring the matter to the attention of the GM Shop or the COR. Grease the fittings on top of the wash pump motor. There are two grease fittings on the top of the wash pump motor and one at each end. Grease these fitting s every ninety days. Use the manufacturer s (Champion Industries, Inc) recommended motor bearing grease. Grease pump motor every 90 days Examine pot washer for buildup of lime and scale on the interior walls. Use manufacturers recommended descaling product and procedures for the removal of lime and scale. Remove lime and descale every 90 days Dish Machine/ Conveyor Dishwasher Champion Industries Inc. Serial Number JI4093402, Model EUCC8 Examine. If a component is damaged, missing, or not set, to prevent injury bring the matter to the attention of the GM Shop or the COR. Grease the fittings on the top of the pot wash motor. There are two grease fittings on top of wash pump motor and one at each end. Grease the fittings every ninety days. Installation Time Work will be performed during the hours of 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal Holidays. Work must be coordinated with the Project Contracting Officer Representative (COR). SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS BY THE CONTRACTOR: All disposal costs and fees for debris removal will be the contractor s responsibility. Site shall be kept clean and free from debris at all times and contractor shall remove debris daily from the health care system property. Contractor will not be allowed to use Government tools, materials, and / or labor for this contract. SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS: Contractor s workmen shall provide and utilize all safety requirements in accordance with OSHA regulations during all phases of the work. Work will be performed during the hours of 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal Holidays. Work must be coordinated with the Project Contracting Officer Representative (COR). All work is to be performed in strict compliance with the Scope of Work .
