This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5 for Certain Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-04, 06-02-2023. Contractor is required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Vendor quote may be considered non-compliant and rejected if the Contracting Officer is unable to verify registration and certification status. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas 77030 is seeking a contractor to provide software upgrades of ClearSight non-invasive technology for each of the current fourteen (14) HemoSpheres deployed at MEDVAMC. Additionally, MEDVAMC is seeking to purchase six (6) additional HemoSpheres to deploy in the currently renovating EP lab and additional non-OR anesthesia locations with similar hardware/software capabilities associated accessories required to use the ClearSight (included in the upgrade package) across the Anesthesia Care Line at MEDVAMC.
