The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Care Systems has a requirement for General Surgeon Services. The contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite General Surgeon Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center of the Ozarks (VHSO), Fayetteville, Arkansas (hereinafter referred to as VAMC). This requirement is for two (2) board certified/board eligible as General Surgeon physicians. The proposed contract will be a Fix Priced Contract with four options years. Projected period of performance will be 1 August 2023 (or from date of award) to 31 July 2028. The Contractor shall provide two (2) board certified/board eligible as General Surgeon physicians to be submitted and credentialed to ensure operational hours and workload is covered by two (2) key personnel at VHSO and be available for scheduling to meet the requirements of the contract (2-FTE @ 1750 hours each; On-Call (M-F) and Sat-Sun/holidays) for each 12-month period. The Contractor s physician(s) care shall cover the range of GENERAL SURGERY services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards American Association for General Surgeons http://www.absurgery.org/default.jsp?cc_gs. Off-hours Coverage: Contractor must make the contractor s physician (s) available on-call during all hours when the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call contractor s physician (s) must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA residents and physicians. This acquisition is being procured as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses set aside, applicable NAICS code 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists), Size Standard $16M. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED ON SAM.GOV. Solicitation to be available on or about 15 April 2023 with proposals due approximately 30 days from the issue date, 3 PM Central Standard Time (CST). All questions FOLLOWING issuance of solicitation to be submitted via email within ten (10) calendar days after issuance to marisol.sherer@va.gov, using 36C25623Q0529 in the subject line (no telephone requests will be responded to).
