Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: Draeger, Inc., is the sole provider and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Draeger Apollo anesthesia machines, which include ventilation, monitor, and/or neonatal devices. Draeger only uses original parts for servicing the devices. These devices are considered high risk by national healthcare technology management. These PMs and CMs must be completed in a timely manner for them to stay in use. If they are not serviced on correct OEM schedule, they will have to be pulled out of service, and any surgeries that require anesthesia will have to be put on hold. Draeger, Inc., does not utilize third party distributors.
