No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research relative to the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code 561320 with a size standard of $30.0 Million. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Micheal E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), Houston, TX, is seeking potential sources for an urgent requirement from health care providers capable of providing on-site/on-call Cardiothoracic Surgeon Services at MEDVAMC, Monday Thursday, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am for an estimated 48 hours and Saturday/Sunday for an estimated 9 hours which equates to a total of 57 hours per every third week for a total of 17 weeks x 57 = 969 hours. 969/2080 = .465 FTE. On-Call Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 PM every third week. Minimum credentials include: ABTS certified, any state license (US state, territory or commonwealth of the US or District of Columbia), 5 years experience, and cover cardiac and thoracic surgery call as an independent practicing surgeon and is potentially willing to involve residents in care of patients if needed. Including cases such as aortic dissection, valve repair and replacement, coronary artery bypass grafting, lung resection, decortication, TAVR.
