The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks, Fayetteville, Arkansas, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Alere San Diego, Inc., for a Benchtop Chemistry Analyzer. The Benchtop Analyzer system by Immunalysis Corporation is the only analyzer that is compatible with the current toxicology systems and software in the lab. No other equipment can be used. This is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than September 18, 2021, 5:00 PM, CST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
