This announcement serves as a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 solely for information and planning purposes, to identify companies capable and qualified to provide Gastroenterology Physician Services to the Overton Brooks VA Healthcare System located in Shreveport, LA. This Synopsis does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice a request for quotations. DO NOT submit a quote or proposal in response to this synopsis. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) anticipates that a Fixed-Unit Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract will be awarded. The DVA anticipates a 12-month Period of Performance (PoP) on the basic contract with two (2), one (1) one-year options. This is a new requirement for this medical center. The projected Request for Quote (RFQ) release date for this effort is August 24, 2021. The DVA intends to release a solicitation to acquire two (2) full-time equivalent (FTE) Gastroenterology Physicians to provide medical services to eligible DVA beneficiaries during normal clinic hours, on-call nights, weekends and holidays. The RFQ is anticipated to be posted on or before August 25, 2021 and will be a 100% Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside.
