The Mic... SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS For the HeartMate 3 LVAD Implant Kit Background: The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) recently procured the HeartMate 3 LVAD Implant Kit. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is requesting procurement of additional supplemental equipment for the HeartMate 3 LVAD Implant Kit. The HeartMate 3 LVAD can be used for advanced heart failure patients needing short- or long-term mechanical circulatory support (e.g., bridge to transplant (BTT) or myocardial recovery, or destination therapy (DT)). MEDVAMC will be starting the Left Articular Ventricular Device/ Heart Transplant Program Soon. This equipment is emergently requested to be purchased as it is needed for the program to start. Additional supplies are required to effectively use the implant kit.
