DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS NETWORK CONTRACTING OFFICE (NCO) 16 Overton Brooks VA Medical Center REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25621Q0574 73 Sentinel XL HP Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) BACKGROUND: The purpose of this RFI/SS is to obtain information for the possible purchase of 73 Sentinel XL HP Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) BASIC REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall provide for purchase the requested number of PAPRs and the following associated consumable equipment: 25 Quick lock waist belts 50 Smart chargers 15 Packs of breathing tubes (5 per pack) 9 Packs of HP Head Covers (25 per pack) 100 Blower plugs 50 Flow meters 25 Back packs 50 NiMh Battery Packs PRODUCT SUBSITUTION: No product substitutions will be accepted without the prior approval of the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center s Safety Department. Any substitutions of product shall have the written approval of the VAMC Safety Department and the Contracting Officer or his/her designee. REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post in the near future. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: Please respond to this RFI if you can provide the exact brand name products listed in the table in the background section above. In the response please cite your business size status. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. Please respond to this RFI if you can provide supplies that can be determined EQUIVALENT to the products listed in the table in the background section above. Please provide details on the proposed EQUIVALENT products such as Manufacturer Name, Part Number, and Description. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business Manufacturers.
