SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR AMSCO ERGONOMIC TRIPLE BAY SINKS Background The Alexandria VA Medical Center (AVAMC) must process and sterilize all critical reusable medical equipment for the entire facility and CBOC s including surgical and dental instrumentation. Project Scope The Alexandria VA Medical Center needs the purchase and installation of two (2) ergonomic triple sink bays. The sinks 106-inch height adjustable triple bay sinks must be able to fit within the current footprint of Decontamination high work surface. The sinks must be plumbed to match our existing drains. Specifications The Alexandria VAMC specifications are designed to outline all the Sterile Processing Services requirements. These requirements will be provided to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) before final approval. The ergonomic double bay sink specifications are provided below: Offer must meet these specifications: 4. Ergonomic Triple Bowl Work Sinks must include: Height-adjustable for a better fit for the employees, less opportunity for injury and less fatigue on the staff;Â Dedicated hot and cold faucets, dedicated Pure Water faucet Two gooseneck faucets to cover all three bays Graduated basins so you always know how much water is in the sink Basins of proper size and depth per AAMI/ANSI guidelines Fully automatic fill/drain capabilities as well as monitoring to allow for specific dosing and temperature monitoring of the enzymatic sink Stainless backsplash On one of the sinks, an ultrasonic area is required due to reprocessing instruments and help of flow within the decontamination area. Biomedical Engineering Training Requirements: No training will be required.
