This is an INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE only. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to issue a sole-source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B):(only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized, to Siemens Industry Inc., located at 1000 Deerfield Pkwy, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. The Vendor shall provide Facility Support Services to include : Automation Data Processing, HVAC & Security Management Services, Public Wi-Fi, and Solar Panel System Management.to the Biloxi, Panama City and JACC facilities. The Vendor shall provide, install and maintain all systems according to the Performance Work Statement. Siemens Industry Inc. is the OEM Manufacturer and only proprietor authorized to provide the equipment and services under GSA Schedule GS-07F-217CA. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement not later than 09/07/2020 at 8:00AM CST, to tina.harris3@va.gov . When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Contract Opportunities 36C25621Q0005, Notice of Intent in the subject line. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required equipment, installation and management services. Responding as an interested party under the www.beta.sam.gov website doesn t constitute convincing evidence of capabilities. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal and facsimile responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. No telephone calls will be accepted. If after 8:00AM CST, September 7, 2020, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, NCO 16 shall negotiate solely with Omnicell Inc. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price contract against FSS Schedule GS-07F-217CA. A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed requirement shall be based upon responses received and is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
