PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the New Orleans Veterans Administration Medical Center, has a need for one (1) Certified/Board Eligible Mental Health Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment Psychiatrist. Contractor shall furnish services for the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS), 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70117. The contract psychiatrists will provide face-to-face initial psychiatric assessment, medication management, evidenced-based therapies, and specialized consolations to veterans presenting to the SUDT Outpatient Clinics and admitted to the Psychiatry Inpatient ward. Additionally, the contractor will create treatment plans for all patients seen in both the outpatient and inpatient departments. The contract Psychiatrist will be assigned to either department as needed. The locum psychiatrist is expected to see up to 15 patients per day providing medication management, assessment, and/or psycho-therapy during inpatient and emergent department visits. This acquisition is being procured as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses set aside, applicable NAICS code 561320 Temporary Help Services, size standard $27.5M. Solicitation to be available on or about 25 November 2019 with proposals due approximately 30 days from the issue date, 3:00pm central time.
