The Marion VA Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) requires a contractor to supply and install new behavioral health mattresses specifically designed for safety, durability, and comfort in a behavioral health setting. The mattresses must meet detailed technical specifications, including dimensions (max 35" width, 82" length), a 500 lb minimum weight capacity, fire-resistant materials, and specialized foam layers for pressure redistribution. The contractor is also responsible for removing and disposing of old mattresses and all packaging/waste in accordance with environmental and VA protocols. Installation must be coordinated with Marion VA RRTP staff, with all work conducted to minimize disruption and comply with facility safety and infection control policies. The selected contractor must provide the manufacturer’s standard warranty covering material and workmanship defects for each delivered mattress.
