This equipment is a heart bypass machine. HSTVA current Marquet systems are more than 10 years old and need to be replaced. HSTVA is requiring three new heart bypass machines to replace the Marquet system. The components of the heart bypass need to include a Pump, Oxygenator, Heat exchanger, cannulas, and tubing. The system shall be an S5 or newer version of the Heat pump or equal characteristics. 2.0 Background: The current system in place is a Livanova Marquet S1 system. This system is past its end of life and an S5 or newer system or equal needs to be procured. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS 3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: The system shall be able to do the following: Shall have a five roller pumps and a monitoring system. The system shall consist of, Roller pumps, double roller pumps, a centrifugal pump, and a system panel. Each roller pump shall have an independent touchscreen control panel that can be adjusted using a knob to set the speed of the electronics in the pump. Shall be able to be rolled around as a cart. Each pump shall be controlled individually: 1 knob = 1 pump The cockpit and the Patient Monitor shall be connected but operate separately Redundant and individual safety mechanisms Automated sensor checks Integrated warning system based on user-defined thresholds A patient monitor with embedded clinical logic to support data-driven clinical decisions, this monitor shall report all the metabolic information. Shall integrate with HSTVA EMR system, Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA), and Oracle. Shall have an advanced cable management system and cockpit that provides one central view and control. An ECMO machine primarily consists of a mechanical blood pump, a membrane oxygenator (artificial lung), a heat exchanger to regulate blood temperature, and tubing connecting to cannulas (large tubes) that are inserted into the patient's veins and arteries, allowing the machine to draw blood out, oxygenate it, remove carbon dioxide, and then return it to the body; essentially acting as a temporary replacement for the heart and lungs when they cannot function adequately. The ECMO machine shall include: Pump: This component forcefully pushes the patient's blood through the circuit. Oxygenator (membrane lung): This is where gas exchange occurs, adding oxygen and removing carbon dioxide from the blood. Heat exchanger: Ensures the blood is warmed to the patient's body temperature before being returned. Cannulas: Large tubes inserted into the patient's blood vessels, one to draw blood out and another to return oxygenated blood. Tubing: Connects the cannulas to the pump and oxygenator, allowing blood to flow through the circuit. 5.0 Deliverables / Schedule: Deliverables of this system should be shipped to 800 Hospital Dr Columbia MO 65201. ATT: Warehouse foreman, All equipment and components shall be shipped together. All equipment and components shall be tracked upon shipment and tracking number give to the POC. 6.0 Training: Travel for training and install shall be done by vendor after the delivery receipt of the equipment. No additional fees shall be incurred outside the quote. Any fees shall be identified in the quote of the procurement not noted later. The vendor shall handle all traveling to meet the needs of installation and training. Vendor shall provide training and installation of equipment with local Biomedical rep from HSTVA to ensure equipment is working properly. 7.0 Data Rights: All rights and admin privileges shall be handed over to HSTVA upon install of equipment.
