THIS PROCUREMENT IS A SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15, intends to award a Construction Contract for Project 589A5-23-102. NAICS CODE: 238220 SMALL BUSINESS SIZE: $19.0 Million Magnitude of VA Project: Less than $25,000 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: 589A5-24-500SL, Boiler 2 Tube Leak Repair The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to locate and make proper repairs to the boiler 2 tube leaks in building 40. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment. Provide all materials and perform work as required by the attached drawings and specifications for Proj. 589A5-24-500SL B at the Topeka, KS VA Medical Center. Period of performance 14 days. PRE-SOLICITATION : The Department of Veterans Affairs NCO 15 Contracting Office C/O Colmery – O’Neil VA Medical Center, Topeka, Kansas 66622, seeks interested vendors for 589A5-24-500LS B Boiler Tube Leak Repair (Single Award Contract). The single contract award is to provide capabilities for simplified non-complex, general construction services shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to locate and make proper repairs to the boiler 2 tube leaks in building 40. The resulting construction contract Contractor shall provide all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, incidentals, and equipment to either pad weld the leaking tube, or we will cut out and install a new piece of tube stock in the location of the leak. All ASME code documentation will be submitted and signed off by our AI and then copies will be given to the Hospital for their records. Scaffold materials will be supplied by the VA and erected and dismantled by Contractor. All work will be done at T&M due to the nature of the job and unforeseen things. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $45.0 million. The solicitation is 100% set-aside to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), as a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed-price, single award contract for a non-commercial item.
