Marion, IL VAMC Statement of Work: Freestanding Bathing System Description of Use: To be used in the Marion, IL VAMC CLC Extended Care Department This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. All offers must be Freestanding Bathing System. Minimum Technical Specifications: Vendor must meet or exceed all requirements as specified below. Freestanding tub- allows caregivers unobstructed access when bathing a resident Low threshold to reduce falls Wide side-entry door allows ease of access with residents with various mobility needs. Contoured seat Thermostatic Mixing Valve with anti-scald protection System hygiene-A comprehensive cleaning and disinfection routine using the integrated disinfection system: average time, 15 minutes. Air Spa-For resident’s individual preferences, the tub should offer a variable speed Air Spa that blows air into the bathwater through nine strategically placed jets, allowing residents a gentle relaxing spa on a low-level setting or a more invigorating massage sensation on a higher level. Five jets in the foot well can enhance soothing podiatry care sessions. Shower Handle & Holder-Should facilitate a lock button feature allowing continuous water flow without holding in the trigger. Required Safety Features-Must have Emergency stop (all functions), Scalding protection, Low-level indicator (disinfection), Lock system functionality, Battery back-up and a temperature gauge or thermometer. Minimum Technical Specifications: Vendor must meet or exceed all requirements as specified below. Must be Height/tilt-adjustable reclining sit bath designed for the safe and efficient assisted bathing and showering of adult residents in healthcare facilities. Tilt Adjustable- This tilting function should allow residents with challenging conditions to recline in a contoured seat and quickly become immersed in warm water. Bathing cycle-A complete cycle from resident collection in the bedroom to return after bathing: average time, 30-40 minutes. System hygiene-A comprehensive cleaning and disinfection routine using the integrated disinfection system: average time, 15 minutes.
