5 Dec 2023 - Updated anticipate solicitation document posting date to 17 December 2023. THIS NOTICE NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to solicit competitive quotes for a five-year contract for Moving Services at the Robert J. Dole VAMC in Wichita KS. This requirement is a total small business set-aside. Period of performance: 12-month base year and four (4), 12 months option periods. POP start date will be 1 Feb 2024. Basic description of the requirement: The Robert J Dole Veterans Administration Medical Center (RJDVAMC) in Wichita, KS has a requirement to provide moving services for various project activations and office moves throughout the main RJDVAMC campus and the Wichita VA Medical Center community-based outpatient care leased facilities, CBOCs. These moves are for larger moves that cannot be safely accomplished with in house staff and equipment and require the services of professional movers. This contract shall encompass multiple moves as required by the RJDVAMC covering both currently planned moves; as well as other moves resulting from planned projects. The contractor shall provide services, which include, but limited to the moving of desks, file cabinets, furniture, bookcases, chairs/benches, miscellaneous medical equipment (beds, exam tables, etc.), other equipment, boxes/totes, and office contents, as well as the breaking down and re-assembly of assorted furnishings. The contractor shall be responsible for using the proper equipment to ensure an efficient, safe, and expeditious move. Proper equipment will include but will not be limited to enclosed moving vans, closed security carriers for transporting equipment, rubber-wheeled dollies (in good condition and free of grease and dirt), aluminum or magnesium ramps of various sizes, reusable cartons and bins, protective blankets and carpet, motorized pallet jacks, and a safe jack. All work to be closely coordinated with the VA Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer s Representative (COR). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation documents will be posted at www.sam.gov on or about December 17, 2023, with quotes due approximately 30 days later. Dissemination of the solicitation is limited to electronic medium. All interested Offerors (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.sam.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. An Offeror's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the Offerors responsibility to register at the www.sam.gov website. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued as a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The contractor must be a small business under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this acquisition is 484210, with a small business size standard of $34 Million dollars. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed.
