MOVING SERVICE Wichita VAMC This is a Sources Sought Notice and not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 484210, Used Household and Office Goods Moving. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this Sources Sought Notice is not an adequate reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15, NCO 15 is seeking qualified potential contractors to provide moving services for various project activations and office moves throughout the Wichita VA Medical Center and between buildings on the Wichita, KS Robert J Dole Veterans Administration Medical Center, RJDVAMC, campus and the Wichita VA Medical Center community-based outpatient care leased facilities, CBOCs. These moves are for larger moves that cannot be safely accomplished with in house staff and equipment and require the services of professional movers. These services have not been provided in the past. This is a new contract for Wichita. The Government is seeking a single contractor for this effort but will consider multiple awards based on market research results. This contract shall encompass multiple moves as required by the RJDVAMC covering both currently planned moves; as well as other moves resulting from planned projects, and which require the services of professional movers. For this reason, the resulting contract or BPA is expected to be one base year plus four option years. It is expected a three-person crew plus truck and equipment will be needed for 3 ½ days per week, Tuesday Friday. See draft SOW for more specifics.
