INTRODUCTION This solicitation is to provide the Veterans Health Administration, Robert J. Dole VA with two slit lamps to replace existing slit lamps that have reached their end of life. The current model at the medical center has incandescent illumination and the newest models have LED illumination to provide a better illumination of the eye. 2. BACKGROUND The Wichita VAMC currently uses Haag-Streit slit lamps model BQ which have reached their end of life. It is the preference of the Ophthalmology department to use the BM style model due to their convergent optics. 3. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to provide, accessories and hardware along with providing the necessary installation service 4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS A. Salient Features for Slit Lamp: 1. LED illumination 2. 10x and 16x magnification 3. Blue and red-free filters 4. Illumination tilt 5. Indirect illumination 6. Convergent optics B. Technical Requirements: 1. 120 V power supply. 2. Unit model to fit on existing or new Reichert instrument stands. C.
