SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 is conducting market research to help determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified vendors who can provide UPS Batteries with Removing/Replacing/Disposing of all (160) old batteries at the Topeka VA medical Center. Statement of Work Contractor shall coordinate with Topeka VA Maintenance with all work associated with this project. VA Engineering will plan and coordinate all work involved. Contractor shall provide services to remove, dispose & replace all 160 UPS batteries located on the 2nd floor, Bldg. 1. These batteries are split up into 2 cabinets and each cabinet has (80 Ea.) batteries in them. One UPS will be in full capable operation at all times during this battery replacement project. Once one bank of batteries has been changed then the second bank of batteries can be changed after changed bank has been brought back into service. Contractor shall also replace any cables or terminals that are damaged or worn at the time of replacement. Serial & Model numbers listed below. Once all batteries have been replaced and old batteries hauled off site, vender shall ensure all software is updated and tests have been performed on new batteries in UPS and a full test report shall be provided to maintenance supervisor, COR or another engineering representative. This work may need to be performed during or after regular business hours or weekends.
