SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION STATEMENT OF WORK KANSAS CITY VAMC RADIOLOGY POINT OF CARE (POC) ULTRASOUND UNIT REPLACEMENT DESCRIPTION: It is the intent of the Kansas City VAMC to replace the point of care (compact) Ultrasound unit in Interventional Radiology. The compact US unit is primarily used in image guided procedures (biopsies, vascular, access, drainages, etc.) within Radiology departments, as well as occasional diagnostic use where a highly portable compact unit is required. The requirement includes replacement of the unit nearing the end of life cycle. Technology has advanced and compact Ultrasound units now have better image quality and more features that assist the Interventional Radiologist to visualize vessels and other anatomy in order to diagnose and treat patients. REQUIREMENTS: Optimal detail of small anatomic structures and vessels Optimal contrast resolution Ability to view images in split screen Transducers that provide penetration for deep structures as well as providing superficial detail; includes wideband linear array probe and wideband convex array probe Optimal visualization of different tissues Optimal visualization of needle placement Optimal numeric and color representation of blood flow Ability to zoom images Image preview Measurement summary window Notation of transducer type Display of battery status B scale markers Various scanning modes (B-mode, M-mode, anatomical M-mode, color flow mode, power doppler imaging, pulsed wave doppler, etc.) Image management menu Consistency from exam to exam, for consistent technique Laptop style construction; high performance digital laptop ultrasound system Cart (docking station) with 3 probe ports, probe and gel holders, shelfs for DVD AC power cord Internet cord (CAT-5) Operators manuals DICOM connectivity/encrypted DICOM Vendor warranty On-site staff training/applications The information identified above are intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA, VA NAC, NASA SEWP, or any other federal contract, that can be utilized to procure the requirement listed above? If so, please provide the contract number. Please submit your capabilities that show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that you can meet the requirement described in the attached SOW. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this sources sought.
