The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 15 Network Contracting Office (NCO 15), on behalf of VISN 15 facilities, plans to contract by means of other than full and open competition for the procurement of Blood Culture Testing Reagents utilizing BACT/ALERT systems. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement under NAICS code is 325413 and classification code is 6640. The suggested Vendor is BioMerieux, Inc. 100 Rodolphe Street Durham, NC. 27712. VISN 15 requires these systems to maintain testing protocols until a new contract can be established, which is estimated to be 5 months.
