The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed-price, one-time service contract with Steris Corporation LLC for repair of an existing Steris sterilization unit using Steris-manufactured parts, components, and equipment. The acquisition is under 41 U.S.C. 1901 simplified acquisition procedures because only one responsible source can satisfy the requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes, no solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be honored. Firms that believe they can meet the requirement may submit capability information, product/service details, and customer references to the Contracting Officer for evaluation, though the Government retains discretion on whether to compete.
