This contract is for the complete retubing of nine Cleaver Brooks fire-tube boilers at the VA Illiana VAMC. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment, including developing a detailed work and safety plan, performing chemical cleaning, and conducting a hydrostatic test. All work must meet original specifications, with any material substitutions requiring advance written approval from the Contracting Officer's Representative. The contractor is responsible for recommissioning the boilers to full operational status, providing a minimum five-year warranty on welds and tube rolls, and properly disposing of all associated waste.
