Solicitation: 36C25225B0014 Project: 578-20-002: Renovations to Building 217 (CON) Location: Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital 5000 S. Fifth Avenue Hines, IL 60141 The Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital has a requirement to renovate portions of the Community Living Center (Building 217) in accordance with project statement of work (SOW), drawings and specifications thereby enhancing the healing environment of the facility for patients, visitors, and staff. The Scope of Work for this project includes all labor, management, equipment, and materials for renovation of the Community Living Center, Building 217. This renovation is made up of 11 separate CLINs, each to be priced and phased separately, however, CLINs 1 and 2 are the BASE bid while CLINs 3 through 11 are options. All measurements/dimensions are approximate. The Contractor must verify all measurements/dimensions. The Period of Performance is Seven Hundred Fifty (750) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) for Base and all options. The NTP shall be issued approximately 14 calendar days after award once required payment and performance bonds and certificate of insurance is provided. The solicitation, SOW, drawings, and specifications will be posted on www.SAM.gov. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) Certified SDVOSB listed in the SBA certification database at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ (see 13 CFR 128). The solicitation will be issued on or about April 28, 2025, with the bid opening on or about June 10, 2025. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from SAM.gov which may be issued to this solicitation. The magnitude of the requirement is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 for Base and all options. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; small business $45 Million size standard applies.
