Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a contract with the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable for a Brand Name (Haag-Streit Reliance 6200 Manual Pneumatic Recline Exam Chair and Reliance 942 Chair Mover) or Equal Optometry Chair. This procurement is intended to be used by the Medical Facility s Optometry Department to examine eye patients. The proposed action is IAW FAR 13.106-1. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for paying on any costs incurred and/or associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice.
