Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for contractors with the capabilities to provide a single employee who is available 30 hours a week to assist a Hines VAMC qualified employee with disabilities with day to day administrative duties as a reasonable accommodation located at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL. The contracted employee shall assist a Hines VA employee with assigned administrative and technical duties. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561320. All interested, responsible sources must submit a capability statement by Saturday, March 18, 2023 to jerri.schuster@va.gov to include documentation as proof of the following: A Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university. Proficiency in JAWS and Pearl Open Book software. A minimum of five (5) years experience working with a qualified employee with disabilities as a reasonable accommodation General Requirements also include: The contractor s employee must be proficient in the use of commercial software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The contractor s employee must be computer literate, have general familiarity with a desktop computer and the ability to learn and understand how to enter progress notes into patient records. Must be proficient in written and spoken English. Must pass background/security investigation.
