Solicitation: 36C25223B0024 Project: 578-17-044: Demolition of Quarters Buildings and Garages (CON) Location: The Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital 5000 S. Fifth Avenue Hines, IL 60141 The Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital has a requirement to complete the demolition of the Quarters buildings and the associated garages. This project will remove all hazardous materials and dispose of properly. Cap all utilities as called for in the bid documents. Demolish the buildings as structures as called for in the bid documents. Restore the sites and landscape according to the bid documents. Infill the fence along the southern edge of the site. Perform the work in a manner least likely to interfere with the daily operations of this clinic. Contractor shall completely prepare site for demolition, restoration and furnish labor and materials and perform work for 578-17-044: Demolition of Quarters Buildings and Garages and specifications. The Period of Performance is One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The NTP shall be issued approximately 10 calendar days after award once required payment and performance bonds and certificate of insurance is provided. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on www.SAM.gov. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB or VOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB/VOSB listed as verified in VIP database at:Â https://www.vetbiz.va.gov/vip/. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 07, 2023, with the bid opening on or about July 26, 2023. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from SAM.gov which may be issued to this solicitation. The magnitude of the requirement is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238910 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; small business $16.5 Million size standard applies.
