THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Milwaukee, WI. for the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI. intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 8.405-6(b) to Olympus America, Inc. 3500 Corporate PKWY Center Valley, PA, 18034. The objective of this sole source award is to initiate a new lease for GI endoscopy equipment video gastroscope, colonoscope various fiber scopes, 4K UHD units and processors used for several Surgical Specialties, bonchoscopes, ultrasonic probes, ureteroscopes, and laser systems, light sources, video processor, ultrasound processor, etc. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 532490; the large business size standard is $35 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 5PM PST on May 7, 2023, may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Parris Weidenbach, Contract Specialist at parris.weidenbach@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Intent to Sole Source Iron Mountain Olympus GI Scope lease . The Government will not pay for information submitted.
