The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 12 Contracting Activity has a requirement for Philips patient monitoring equipment upgrades, networking upgrades, telemetry upgrade and CSG (Carescape Gateway) upgrades at two (2) Medical Centers and their associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These systems communicate on a dedicated switched network configured to meet requirements set by Philips medical systems. The VA Medical Centers are prepositioning their monitoring systems to interface with the Cerner upgrade. This requirement involves proprietary Philips software & hardware integration components, it is essential for the government to procure these items from the original equipment manufacturer of the existing system that will be integrated with Cerner.
