A. Functional Requirements • Portable Ultrasound that is compact and mounted on a roll stand that is easily maneuverable. • Must have a minimum 12” LCD display • Must have flexible controls of the following: i. Caliper ii. Zoom iii. Color box through virtual track-pad/touchscreen • Must have embedded dual transducer corrector that will allow for the user to change exam types or transducers with minimal interaction with the touchscreen. • Must have a small footprint to allow for clear space in crowded areas. i. Must have the option to be mountable, allowing for a zero-footprint option. • Must have the ability to operate with a sterile drape. • The roll stand must include the following accessories: i. Hydraulic height adjustment ii. Added shelf for printer iii. Dedicated gel holders and elevated transducer holders iv. Lockable drawers for supplies with a tray v. Large basket that can be easily removed for cleaning vi. Cable management hooks for necessary auxiliary cables B. Imaging Requirements • Ultrasound must have continuous wave and pulsed wave Doppler i. This offers sharper image quality • Imaging processing must include the following: i. Dual Imaging ii. Duplex Imaging iii. 2x Pan/Zoom capability iv. Dynamic Range and ColorHD Technology • Ultrasound must include a mode for the following: i. 2D ii. Tissue Harmonic Imaging iii. M-Mode Color Doppler iv. Velocity Color C. User Interfacing Requirements • Must have an adaptive touchscreen that adapts with a clinician-driven menu • Must have easy access to commonly used controls on a touch-pad. • Gain Control must be allowed through a tactile knob i. Overall ii. Near iii. Far System must be able perform the following examinations - Abdominal - Breast - Cardiology - Gyn - Lung - Spine - Musculoskeletal - Neonatal - Nerve - OB - Ophthalmic - Superficial - Arterial - Venous - Small parts
