Under FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, at least 50% of the cost of contract performance incurred shall be expended for the prime contractor employees of the concern or other businesses within the same socioeconomic category for service-type procurements The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is conducting market research with the intent of determining the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of a company to provide access to Pink Sheets and Health News Daily database to staff at the Hines VAMC located in Hines, IL. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for market research purposes. This market research will be used to determine if a set-aside for any small business program is appropriate. Proposed project anticipates competitive, firm fixed price contract. Please review this announcement, including all attachments, in their entirety. Request that interested offerors complete and return a Capabilities Statement as described below. Capabilities Statement will be used to identify firms who possess both the capability and experience to provide this services for the Hines VAMC. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into any form of contract with any person, firm or other entity that receives or responds to this announcement The requirements are as follows: Background/Scope: Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) (578/10P4P) is requesting a nationwide site license renewal for Pink Sheets and Health News Daily , comprehensive, up-to-the-minute news services relating to pharmaceuticals. These publications provide pharmaceutical data associated with drug recalls, new molecular entities, and the FDA status of manufacturing facilities. Selection Criteria: A subscription that provides a clinical reference database to help VA clinicians make clinically sound decisions which benefit patient care for our nation s veterans. Requirements: A database I need to provide VA healthcare clinicians up-to-the-minute news services relating to pharmaceuticals including publications that provide pharmaceutical data associated with drug recalls, new molecular entities, and the FDA status of manufacturing facilities. Security & Privacy Control: This contract has no access to information systems, or patient information. The Certification & Accreditation requirements of VHA Handbook 6500.6 do not apply to this requirement; therefore, a Security Accreditation Package is not required. Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought synopsis.
