PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation 36C25221B0023 Project: 578-15-037 (CON) GU Clinic Location: Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital 5000 S. 5th Avenue Hines, IL 60141 This construction project involves the redesigned layout that will allow for more efficient and comfortable patient care in accordance with Surgical and Endovascular Services Design Standards April 2016 (Rev 4/20). The new layout will add 2 new exam rooms and a dedicated HVAC system. Period of Performance is 570 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP). The NTP shall be issued approximately 10 calendar days after award once required payment and performance bonds and certificate of insurance is provided. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on www.SAM.gov. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 General Construction; small business $39.5 Million size standard applies. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB or VOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB/VOSB listed as verified in VIP database at:Â https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Estimated price range for construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 8, 2021 with the bid opening on or about August 12, 2021.
