This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Firms shall identify whether they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 561210. The following NAICS Code and Small Business Size Standard has been identified for this requirement: 561210 - Facilities Support Services: This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing operating staff to perform a combination of support services within a client's facilities. Establishments in this industry typically provide a combination of services, such as janitorial, maintenance, trash disposal, guard and security, mail routing, reception, laundry, and related services to support operations within facilities. These establishments provide operating staff to carry out these support activities but are not involved with or responsible for the core business or activities of the client. Establishments providing facilities (except computer and/or data processing) operation support services and establishments providing private jail services or operating correctional facilities (i.e., jails) on a contract or fee basis are included in this industry. STATEMENT OF WORK Scope of Work: Furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies, travel and parking fees necessary to complete the exterior power washing and applicable sealing of the concrete in the designated are.as (Zones:l,2,8,9,11,13, 13a, 16, and 16 Fascia) (detailed site map attached) at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located at 820 S. Darnen Ave, Chicago, IL 60612. The process shall include the use of a brightener/sanitizer on all concrete surfaces. The three main entrances (Darnen Ave, Taylor St. and Ogden Ave Circle- areas 1, 8, 9 and 13a) shall be accessible only during weekend hours for any work performed. Care shall be taken to prevent any spalling of the existing concrete during cleaning. The contractor shall supply a summary of procedures to protect against the spalling of existing concrete surfaces and MSDS sheets for all chemicals being used. A concrete sealer-shall be applied to zones l, 8, 9, 11 and 13a. The sealer shall be applied per Mfg. specifications during weekend hours in order to minimize pedestrian traffic. Once applied all areas shall be identified and taped off with construction tape for safety measures. Zone Est. Total 39,019 Specific Tasks and Deliverables Task One: Complete the brightening/sanitizing and power washing of areas 2, 9, 11,13, 16 and 16 Fascia during normal business hours. Monday thru Friday. Task Two: Complete the brightening/sanitizing and power washing of the three (3) main entrance areas (1, 8, and 13a) Saturday and/or Sunday during hours of: 0800-1630. Task Three: Complete the application of a concrete sealer for zones 1, 8, 9, 11, and 13a Saturday and/or Sunday during hours of0800-1630.
